Hidden Emoji

Hidden Emoji drops roughly three hundred identical emoji on the screen and hides exactly one that is different. Your job is to find it. It is a visual search task dressed up as a game, and it is oddly addictive because the odd one out is always obvious once you spot it — and completely invisible until you do. Every round generates a brand new grid with a new target, so memorising a location is impossible.

How many emoji are in the grid?

Around three hundred cells are rendered each round, with exactly one of them different.

Is the hidden emoji always in a different place?

Yes. Both the grid contents and the target position are randomised for every new game.

The tap is marked as incorrect and the timer continues, so wrong guesses cost you time rather than ending the round.
