Information we collect
ArcadeSparks does not require an account, and we do not ask for your name, email, or phone number to play. When you play a challenge, we may store gameplay data — such as scores, times, and a randomly generated player identifier — locally in your browser and, for multiplayer rooms, on our servers.
We also automatically collect standard technical information sent by your browser, including approximate location (derived from IP), device type, browser version, and referring page. This data is used to keep the site running, prevent abuse, and improve the experience.
Cookies and local storage
We use cookies and browser local storage for essential features like remembering your anonymous player ID, keeping your session active in a multiplayer room, and measuring how many games you've played so we can time non-intrusive interstitials appropriately.
Third-party services listed below may set their own cookies. You can clear cookies and local storage at any time through your browser settings.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand which challenges are popular and how the site is used in aggregate. Google Analytics collects data such as page views, session length, and device information. This data is anonymized and never linked back to a specific individual by us.
You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the official Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Google AdSense
ArcadeSparks is supported by advertising through Google AdSense. Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to our site and other sites on the internet.
You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings page. For more information about how Google uses data, please review Google's privacy policy.
Third-party advertising
In addition to Google AdSense, we may occasionally work with other advertising partners. These partners may use cookies, web beacons, and similar technologies to collect information about your activity on ArcadeSparks and other sites in order to provide advertising relevant to your interests.
We do not share personally identifiable information with advertisers, because we don't collect any.
Anonymous gameplay
You never need to sign in to play ArcadeSparks. For multiplayer rooms, we generate a random player identifier stored in your browser so we can attribute your submissions to your device during a session. This identifier is not tied to any personal information and can be reset by clearing your browser storage.
Your rights
Because we don't collect personal information, most traditional data-subject requests don't apply. You can, however:
- Clear cookies and local storage to remove your anonymous ID and gameplay history.
- Opt out of Google Analytics and personalized advertising as described above.
- Contact us with any privacy questions or concerns.
Data security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the limited data we do handle, including transport encryption (HTTPS) and industry-standard hosting. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, but because we store almost no personal data, the risk to you is minimal.
